GYMS-H2

GYMS-H2 is a research reservoir simulator developed for underground hydrogen storage. It couples compositional two-phase flow with microbial reactive transport to investigate hydrogen migration, phase behavior, biological conversion, and reservoir-fluid composition changes.

The simulator is also the numerical platform for studying how different coupling strategies behave under changing reaction and transport regimes.

Research Use

GYMS-H2 supports research on accuracy, robustness, computational cost, and regime-dependent performance of coupled compositional-flow and microbial-reactive-transport algorithms.

Public code availability and detailed documentation can be added here later if and when the software is released.
